Fitbit Ace

What Fitbit Ace Does

Fitbit Ace is the companion app for families using the Fitbit Ace LTE kids smartwatch. It gives parents and other approved contacts a central place to stay connected with a child, including secure calling and text messaging. The app also supports location viewing, activity checks, and contact management.

Who It Suits

This app is intended for parents, guardians, and invited contacts of children who use a Fitbit Ace LTE watch. A parent or guardian can use it to keep track of the child’s location and activity, while an approved contact may also be able to call or message the watch through the app. Its usefulness therefore depends on having the matching Fitbit Ace LTE device.

• Communication: Call or send messages to the child’s smartwatch through the app.
• Location: View the child’s location when the relevant device and account settings support it.
• Activity: Check information about the child’s activity levels.
• Contacts: Manage the people who are permitted to communicate with the watch.

Account and Service Notes

Some functions are tied to supervised Google Accounts, and the Fitbit Ace LTE requires a paid Ace Pass data plan. Those requirements matter when deciding whether the app matches your family’s setup. The app is designed around a child’s connected watch rather than general fitness tracking for an adult phone user.
