Wallpapers

What Wallpapers does

Wallpapers is Google’s personalization app for browsing and setting images on an Android device. It suits users who want a straightforward way to change their home-screen or lock-screen background without searching across separate image sources. The app combines curated artwork and photography with support for images from the device’s own gallery.

Wallpaper choices and controls

The catalogue includes categories such as landscapes, artwork and satellite imagery from Google Earth. Users can preview an image before applying it and choose whether it appears on the home screen, the lock screen, or both. A daily wallpaper option can also select a new image from a chosen category, reducing the need to change the background manually.

• Browse themed collections instead of relying only on local photos.
• Use separate images for the lock screen and home screen.
• Connect the app’s wallpaper selection with pictures already stored on the device.

Who it suits

This is a practical choice for Android users who prefer a clean, focused wallpaper browser over an app built around editing tools or community interaction. Its simple layout keeps attention on image selection, while the preview helps users check how a picture will fit the screen before applying it. People looking for extensive filters, detailed image editing or a highly social wallpaper library may find the scope limited.
